Material aspect
(Made of titanium alloy, commonly Ti-6Al-4V (GR5/TC4). )
*Extremely high strength to weight ratio (specific strength): Its strength is comparable to high-strength alloy steel, but its density is only about 60% of steel.
Structural design
*The pointed design of the guide cone has a slender cone shape, which facilitates precise positioning in pre drilled holes and easily guides screw tapping.
*The head design is diverse, such as pan head, countersunk head, semi countersunk head, hexagonal flange head, etc., providing multiple functional options.
Excellent corrosion resistance performance
Excellent biocompatibility and low magnetism
*Titanium is a paramagnetic material with a very low magnetic susceptibility, appearing completely non-magnetic at the macroscopic level and will not be magnetized in any strength of magnetic field. It will not cause any magnetic field interference to surrounding precision electronic devices, scientific experimental instruments, or navigation systems. No displacement, heat risk, and no image artifacts.
Excellent high and low temperature performance
*As the temperature decreases, the strength of titanium alloy will significantly increase, instead of decreasing; Even at ultra-low temperatures, titanium alloys maintain excellent toughness and plasticity without becoming brittle.
Titanium Self Tapping Screws are mechanical fasteners with a plum blossom groove on the head, sharp self tapping threads on the shaft, and a guiding or drill shaped tip at the end. When using, select a matching plum blossom screwdriver head and apply force to rotate it directly at the predetermined position. Its tip will drill and tap on its own, completing drilling, tapping, and fastening in one step without the need for pre tapping.
| Features | Titanium Self-Tapping Torx Screws (Ti-6Al-4V) | Carbon Steel Screws (Typically Zinc-Plated) | Stainless Steel Screws (Typically 304/316) |
| Strength-to-Weight Ratio | Extremely high. Strength comparable to high-strength alloys, but weight is only about 60% of copper. | High strength, but high density and heavy. | Lower than high-quality titanium alloys, and weight is about 50% heavier than titanium. |
| Corrosion Resistance | Forms a dense oxide film, resistant to seawater, chlorine gas, and various chemicals. No grain boundary corrosion. | Relies on a surface plating layer; rapid corrosion occurs after the plating layer is damaged. | May experience pitting corrosion and stress corrosion cracking in chlorine-containing environments. |
| Biocompatibility | Non-toxic, harmless, non-sensitizing, and highly compatible with human tissues. | Metal ions may be harmful to the human body, potentially causing allergies and rejection. | A small portion of the population is allergic to nickel ions. |
| Magnetism | Completely non-magnetic. | Magnetic. | Most models have weak magnetism (Austenitic stainless steel). |
| Thermal Strength | Maintains good mechanical properties at both high and low temperatures. | Strength drops significantly at high temperatures. | Oxidizes and loses strength at high temperatures. |

Suitability for Compact Spaces
The hex socket hole is relatively shallow, and the bolt head is thinner, making it ideal for installation in confined spaces such as electronic devices and precision instruments.
High Torque Transmission Efficiency
Hex socket wrenches have a larger contact area with the bolt hole, reducing the risk of slippage during force application. This allows for higher torque to be applied, ensuring firm fastening—particularly important in vibration-prone environments.
Anti-Loosening and Aesthetic Benefits
The flat head design allows for countersunk installation (flush with the surface of the workpiece), minimizing protrusion and wear risks while improving the overall clean appearance of the equipment.
